Tribute to Cesaria EVORA

En mémoire de CESARIA EVORA, la « diva aux pieds nus », un immense concert sera donné le 15 DECEMBRE 2012 sur l'île de Santo Antao au Cap Vert, en présence de nombreux artistes nationaux et internationaux réunis autour des musiciens de Cesaria, décédée un an plus tôt, le 17 décembre 2011. Ce concert initialement prévu pour célébrer les 70 ans de la légendaire chanteuse cap-verdienne a été maintenu, même en son « absence », pour lui rendre un dernier hommage grandiose en musique, chez elle au Cap Vert.Parallèlement, une foire artisanale, agricole et culturelle se tiendra à Varzinha (Ribeira Grande) du 14 au 16 décembre. Profitez de cette occasion unique pour découvrir ou redécouvrir l’archipel du Cap Vert et ses richesses sur les traces de Cesaria Evora. In memory of regretted CESARIA EVORA, the Bare Foot Diva, a huge concert will be given on December 15th, 2012 on Santo Antao island, Cape Verde, gathering many national and international artists as well as Cesaria’s musicians. Initially scheduled to celebrate the 70th birthday of the legendary Cape-Verdean singer, the show has been maintained even after she passed away to pay her one last great musical tribute “at home” in Cape Verde.Besides the show, a art, culture and products fair will be held in Varzinha (Ribeira Grande) from December 14th to the 16th. This event is a rare occasion to discover or to return to the archipelago and its richness on the steps of barefoot Cesaria Evora. An unforgettable trip within the very essence of culture, following the rhythm of Morna and the sound of Cavaquinho along with all the dearest friends of this charismatic singer who had managed to put Cape Verde on the world maps.
